Performance
If you're experiencing lag while playing Roblox, you can improve performance by optimizing both your emulator and Windows settings. Follow these instructions to do so.
Change Windows Settings
See this guide or follow the steps below to disable memory integrity and VMP.
Turn off memory integrity
-
Open the Core isolation app
-
Turn off Memory integrity
Turn off Virtual Machine Platform (VMP)
-
Open the Turn Windows features on or off app
-
Find and unselect the checkbox next to Virtual Machine Platform
-
Click OK and restart your PC
Turn off Hyper-V
-
Open the PowerShell app as Administrator
-
Run the following command and restart your PC:
Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V-Hypervisor
Failure
If you see an error, the feature is not present on your system and you can safely skip to the next step.
Emulator-Specific Optimizations
Make sure you allocate more RAM and CPU cores to your emulator. You can do this from the emulator's settings menu. If you need help, follow the emulator-specific guides below.
Reduce Roblox's Graphics Setting
- Open Roblox and launch a game
-
Click the Roblox icon in the top left corner
-
Go to the Settings section
-
Scroll down and set the following options:
- Graphics Mode: Manual
- Graphics Quality: 1 (the lowest setting)
Tip
If you find that your game is running smoothly, you can gradually increase the graphics quality setting to improve visuals.
Change Your Emulator
Not all emulators are compatible with all system configurations. If you're still experiencing performance issues after following every step, consider switching to a different emulator. Refer to this page for a list of emulators you can try.
